Four Year Olds Programme
This is provided in a small group setting environment. Importance is placed on enhancing self-esteem, gaining confidence to try new things and developing respect for self and others.
Four year olds receive their own book bag and visit Loburn School library weekly to exchange a book. We have a transition programme in place to support children as they transition to our local schools.
Staff visit a number of schools in Rangiora to liaise with the new entrant class teachers who receive our children, as well as visiting the three local schools of Ashley, Loburn and North Loburn.
Two and Three Year Old Group Time
This is a time where we gather as a group to enjoy music and movement, stories, games, farm walks, library visits and other group experiences. The programme follows the children’s interests and builds on skills they will need for group learning such as self management skills, finding their own space, turn taking and following instructions.
At the end of each day, we gather as a group to reflect. The children have the opportunity to share something from home or something about their day. Christian family values are interwoven with our curriculum, and reflection time includes stories from topics of interest alongside Bible stories and songs.
